Counter extension

Has anyone added a counter extension to their unit? We are looking for one that will match the "corian" surface, but can only find an oak model at Camping World. Can you get this option from Keystone?

If you are talking about a small dropleaf off the end of the counter, I put one on and the wood is oak color and the top is very close to the same color as the counter tops. I have not seen any in Corian. Call Montana dealer and ask where you can get one.
Best of luck. Dave

We have a 2955 and added the drop leaf extension that is the same color as the counter but made of formica. We don't keep it up most of the time and it works fine when we do. Our counters are made of fiberglass I believe and difficult to match.

If you get the corian lot and run number which should be taped underneeth the counter and find a counter top company have them order a piece for you or if they have a scrap piece close to your color, then if you have a good table saw with the proper blade saw it to size then get a router bit preferably 1/2" shaft then give it a porvile that is simular to the one you have now, it is realy easy stuff to work with, easy to fix OPP'S providing you have the right compound and color. I am not certified for Corian, but I am for Avenite which is almost the same stuff but a lot more colors and paterins to pick from.
As far as getting the option from Keystone I'll bet they will ask 3 or 400 for it if you got anything from the it should be the run number and color, then take it to a shop around your home for the work.

Corian? As far as I know Montana does not use Corian unless it is in the 2006 model, as we have a 2005. Ours is fiberglass. I don't know how easy that is to get or to work with.

I said "corian', as it is the look. I would guess you would call it a solid surface counter.

I used the large sink cover that we never used anyway - It was always a pain finding somewhere to put it when it was not on the sink - I mounted it with the hole under the counter overlap and it is a perfect match as it was part of the original counter

You may have to go to a motor home dealer,,,Sorry,,, I have seen the Corian kitchen counter extensions in several Motor homes. Try the Infinity line by Thor. Just don't tell anyone where it came from

Hate to rain on anyone's parade, but you won't find one anywhere to match (even from Keystone or Thor). I asked Keystone at the G. L. Rally recently - these are molded fiberglass counter tops, not 'Corian', sourced from a vendor. There are no extensions available from the mfgr.; you'll have to come up with your own.
