Have exact figures for the miles we drove pulling the Montana on the recent trip cross country. Knew that the log would be useful!! This figure is without breaking out all the different circumstances of MPH, winds, bumpy roads etc etc We could give you a breakdown for a particular day if you would like. (IE--Kearney NE to Oxford IA-- 10.56 mpg) We still haven't weighed in, yes we know we should but every time we tried the scales would just wave us through. But we were not even close to being packed full on the outward trip and even less after dropping off all the gear with kids. Actual figures show an average of 9.981 mpg. Best day was 12.7 and we must have had a good tailwind. Worst was 8.79. The truck really isn't broken in yet and we are told that our mileage will improve. Hope so. Did discover that the MPG calculator in the truck gives about 8% more than the actual mpg so you may want to calculate using actual gallons consumed and miles travelled which is what our figure indicates. Fortunately when we budgeted for the trip we figured 10mpg so our gas budget was right on. Next.......

WOW! Some kinda mileage for KS to PA!! What routes did you take?? We'd love to get that on our next trip back from Wichita and KC!!! Do you use an additive or have any other hints? (Aside from avoiding the interstate in MO and the hills in PA!!)

2001 PSD CC F250 pulling 12,000 Lbs about 11.5 mpg, empty no trailer 15- 19 mpg depends on my foot. If I can keep it around 2,000 RPMs i have gotten as much as 22mpg keeping my foot out of it, but that's hard to do.

Bowie,

I have a 3:55 rear end that helps. The milage was from Emporia Kansas to the Lorals in PA. Drove the interstates. I can't understand why I do better up north. This is the second time my milage has been super up North so it is repeatable. Down here in FL I get 12 to 121/2.

I am running Superchips Towsafe program. 265 Truck tires. Mobile 1 ATF. and Shell synthetic, 60-65 at about 300miles per day.
