Fixed those pesky shades
I was getting quite tired of the end plugs coming out of the day-nite shades, the fabric sliding out and not wanting to go back in. You know the drill. I got some small screws and screwed them thru the frame and the plug. Now they'll just come out when I want.

Great idea I was having the same problem with my caps also. It even caused the shade to slide out it was very hard to get them centered on the bottom grip, did you drill them on the bottom, or the front side of the grip?

I took the easy way and drilled from the front. It looks fine that way. I have a picture but I can't figure out how to get it here

Sounds like a workable solution. If those ends pop out, the material falls out and it is SO EASY to rip when you are trying to stuff it back in.

I know what you mean about the material ripping. My wife had that problem twice while on this trip. I will be putting the screws to it when I get it back home. Thanks for the tip.

So, where can we get replacement end caps/plugs? We are missing one at the moment, and probably will lose more as time goes on. Dealers (several) say that they have to replace the entire shade, the shade manufacturer doesn't send out spare parts.
Thanks,

We just put a few drops of glue on the caps and they have not come off.

Glue works for us too. I can't think of any reason that I'd want to be taking them off anyway

Thanks for the tip. We ripped a shade trying to get it back in the track this past trip.
