We stayed at the Bryce Canyon KOA when we were there this summer. Only a couple sites that can handle our big rigs but if you make reservations it should work. Nice folks running it. A little isolated (re: No Starbucks) but doable. Nothing fancy mind you but we just needed a place to sleep at night. There are also some geocaches in the surrounding area....

CAUTION: On the road to Bryce, there is a sign that reads: Tunnels ahead, clearance 13'6". I had to stop and call the KOA Mgr, he said no problem, that the heights were at the sides of the tunnels ( very short, by the way). The tunnels are curved so were no problem at all.

Enjoy the trip......

I just tryed to go through with my 06 3000rk and she measured the length and said I was over 50ft in length and could not go through. She had taken a tape measure and do not know how she measured but she came up with 51ft and I come up with 53??? The sign at the East entrance said 11-6 height, 7-6 wide and can't rember the length, She there is a sign about a mile down the road telling all RV's to check in but we sure did not see them

All of the above is true, plus, oversized vehicles pay an additional $15 fee. There is no real escort, but they do shut down the tunnel to let you through (one-way traffic). Same for tour buses, etc. As blarkman mentioned, think length would be a bigger problem if they are measuring!

You can or should I say in 2006 you could. We did take the dually and had to pay a fee however you must stay in the middle of the tunnel, we were parked at I think Ruby's I tend to get confused on the places we have stayed. I will say Bryce Canyon is awesome. We were also at Zion and it was beautiful. As for size we didn't have any problems and the Everest 343L fit any place we went. However when making reservations that is a priority question we normaly ask for a 40' with slides. You will enjoy that trip for sure. GBY....

We stayed in an RV park in Springdale just beyond the west entrance to Zion. You can walk to the park if you wish.

Ruby's is located just outside of Bryce and can accmodate any sized rig. Another option is the campground in Red Canyon. Really nice sites, but no hookups. Great scenery.

Zion is beautiful, Bryce is spectacular. Be sure to hike below the rim as well as exploring the view points. We spent three months there as volunteers. You can't do it justice without staying two or three days at least.

If you have the time, take a day trip south of Bryce to Kodachrome Basin State Park. Very pretty place.
