older than 2000

I asked Keystone if they could tell me the build number of my rig and they said they do not keep track of build dates. Gee ... that just sounds like normal accounting. Soooo ... I would like to know if anyone has a build date older or around mine of Jan 2000. Sorta kinda like doing a family history.
Thanks
Dennis

There should be a sticker in one of two places that can give you the build or birthdate of your unit. One is on one of the base kitchen cupboard doors and the other is a sticker on the outside that gives you the model#, tire size, inflation of the tires and other information. It is usually on the drivers side just ahead of the basement door and around the curve of the frame going to the hitch. Our 2004 unit had the sticker on the kitchen cabinet door. The birth date is on the upper right corner of the sticker.

Montanas were first marketed in 99. I had a 2850RK that I bought n May of 2000. It was built in February. I wondered occasionally what ever happen to my first Montana, until about 2 years after trade ... saw it by chance at a lake. I had taken exceptional care of her, but it was amazing what neglect by the new owner had resulted in ... she was in sad sad shape. 16 years is a long life for a mid range unit. No offense to those in older units ... just sayin.

Mine only goes back to 2007. But the old girl is still in great shape.

I am amazed at how well this rig was cared for. I know it had some problems ... I can see an axle was replace ... but you have to crawl under and look hard. I thank the owners for taking such good care. Jan of 2000 was a long time ago.

My 2006 is still going down the road and is showing some age on the usual places--decals. I have upgraded the parts shackles, awning, televisions, added satellite, kingpin, tire monitors and 2 batteries plus annual wash/wax. Best of all, it sure is a lightweight compared to the newer Montys. Also annual maintenance is a must.

I am still running my 2001 3280RL and besides the decals, she is running strong. I hear all the issues with the newer 5rs and it scares me a little. Put new carpet and Allure vinyl along with solar and a 2000 watt inverter and I am a happy camper. The 3280 also has a 4100 pound cargo rating which I have not seen on any other rig.

Hi Jim ... seems our older rigs are holding up if taken care. I live 100 miles north of you.
