Eureka Springs, Arkansas area

We stayed at Berryville, AR city RV park this past weekend while floating the Kings River and riding our motorcycle. The park only has about 20 spots and most are rather short but it does have a few pull thru sites. It is full hookup with 50amp electric and at only $18 per night hard to beat. There aren't any trees or fire pits though. This is more of a park it and go exploring overnight sort of place. Berryville is only about 7 very curvy miles from Eureka so your close without being in the middle of the madness. Most important you can avoid that extra few miles of crazy curvy and hilly mountain roadway while towing (great for motorcycles, not so much for RVs).

If they are booked up in Berryville or your staying longer, might want to check out Waunderlust RV park on the East side of Eureka. Slightly more expensive at $36 per night than Berryville but they are larger and have shaded sites plus a pool and they are actually at Eureka if your more the shop and browse kind of folks.

For those of you not familiar with Eureka Springs it is sort of an oddball collection of motorcycle, Christian and gay communities set in an Alpine sort of setting. Very unusual for Arkansas to say the least but it is what it is. It is sort of like Gatlinburg near Pigeon Forge, TN. The town has a lot of regulations to keep the Alpine sort of feel to the town and there are dozens of eclectic shops to browse. VERY touristy in town and very biker friendly. If you like to ride there are few areas better than the roads all around this part of the Ozarks!!!

The roads in and out are fun to drive. Especially so if you are towing

Yeah, that last 10-12 miles of US 62 arriving from the west is real fun towing the Monte.
