oh no walking dealer lot got me in trouble
well we went to our local dealer today and kept looking at the 2014 3625re montana, salesman said we can make you a good deal keep your payments witin reason, so we signed papers late today and we will know tuesday or wednesday if everything goes thru. excited about bigger frame, level up system, L shape kitchen and double fridge, plus king bed, other than that same close floorplan as our high country 2011.323rl. which we loved dw just wanted more kitchen and countertop area.

Congrats on your new rig.....we know the feeling of just looking but if the deal is too good to walk away from you did the right thing! Good luck with everything!

Congrats! The three things we thought we could live without in our old 3400RL (level up, big frig, and king bed) we decided we actually couldn't live without.

We drank the kool aid too love ours. One thing I would do without question is make them upgrade the mattress if the one in your new Monty is like the one I got you may as well sleep on the wood frame it is a real piece of junk. Other than that we are very happy with the new Monty after going with a sleep number bed. Life is good congrats and happy camping

Yes the OEM mattress is a bit firm and the springs come thru in a few months. We went to W/M, bought the 4" foam topper. 2" of support foam, 2" of memory foam. About $150. Let it lay for 2-3 days, then using a electric knife, cut 2" off where too big and rounded the corners.
Now sleeps better than the house bed.
Remember, If you don't spend it, the kids will fight over it.

Congrats on your new rig. The DW gets nervous when she sees me cruising Craigslist. Strolling around a RV lot just to "see what is new out there" is out of the question. LOL
We hated the king mattress in our Monty, so I cut down the frame and took our queen Sleep Number from the house and put in the monty and bought a new sleep number for the house. King vs. Queen is a personal choice. Sleep Number vs. standard RV mattress...apples and rotten oranges

We love our 3625re. We got it last November and did not get to use it but a couple of times until this March. Knock on wood but we have not had any issues to speak of. Some cabinet doors that would not stay shut, had to adjust the latches, but did get rid of the china bomb marathons before I ever pulled it, put 614's on it before I took the first trip. Do wish you could get to the refrig. without opening the slide but you can open the door slide about a foot and get in.
Hope you enjoy it as much as we do. We upgraded from a 2011 Cougar RES which we liked as well. Good model.
Enjoy your new rig. Joe & Buffy

Our 331RLT came in last week and stopped by the dealer yesterday to take a look. The unit came in as a '15 model and the island is no longer on wheels but fixed in place. Won't be able to get to the fridge now unless we extend the drivers side slide, bummer, would prefer it on rollers but well get used to it. The mattress! What a piece of junk. We inquired about upgrade or delete when we ordered and was told no modifications. Will swap with the memory foam mattress in the spare room in the house.
Should be able to pick it up in about 2 weeks. Can't wait.

We tried sleeping on the king mattress that came in our Monty - one night. We put our memory foam topper on it for about a week. I, too, cut down the platform and we put our queen memory foam mattress in. MUCH better! It also gave us a lot more room to move around the bed. The king mattress went to the dump . . .

Congrats on the new Montana. We did the same thing. Went and looked at New Montana's with no plans of buying and they made us such a good deal on our trade and also the price of the 3652RL that we went ahead and purchased. We did the same thing got rid of the king mattress and cut the panel down and put in a new memory foam queen. Much more room. Enjoy.

Congratulations. I think you'll love your new Montana. We have a 2013 3625RE and we pull it comfortably with our Ford SW F350 Diesel. The 3625 floor plan is perfect for our needs. We ordered it with the thought that we'd buy our own king mattress from a specialty mattress company, which we did. We lived in ours for the past 6 months and found that we loved the openness of the living room and the extra counter space and cabinets. Only area I would improve, would be to have some type of a closet right off the entryway, to store shoes and a jacket. We still have the Marathon tires and have about 6000 miles on them, but we're also mindful of our weight and speed. Plan on purchasing G14's for our next season basically because of all the negative press they've gotten on this and other sites. BTW, Montana no longer is using the Marathons according to their sales reps. Hope you enjoy your new unit and best wishes for safe and fun filled travel adventures.

Congrats - we too have the 3625re. Bought it when our TT hitch broke in Rapid City at the start of a 3 month trip to National Parks. We loved it and traded it in for a Big Sky version All the 2014 upgrades were on a 2013 model - G14 tires, slide topers, stainless sink, paint, etc). By turning off the slides we open the Doorside slide 1 foot to get to the fridge. We also would like a place to put shoes when entering - they tend to accumulate next to the counter!!! We also cut the bed down to a queen.
Happy traveling!!!
