Tape for Coroplast

Has anyone had any success in applying Gorilla Tape to seal cuts made in coroplast? I will be making a cut in it to access my valve on my galley tank. Because the tank is by the axles it is not practical to lower the coroplast to get at the valve.
There is a tape called scrim shield but it seems such a waste to spend all that money for the required 3 ft to do the repair.
Have any other owners used a different tape or method of sealing it back up?

I used Gorilla tape on the old rig and just had to replace a little of it now and then.

If you want the repair to last, you need to use the “scrim tape”. Super sticky, it’s what is used for repairing underbellies. It’s not cheap, here’s an Amazon link: https://www.amazon.com/Surface-Shiel...rds=scrim+tape

Yes, it is pricey and way more than needed for one repair; but, I find lots of uses for it around the RV and around the house. Plus, buy once and you’ll never have to buy it again!

Have you used this tape on the underbelly? Seeing that it is a tape that is quickly covered during building, I was wondering how it would stand up to the elements underneath the trailer.

I used Gorilla Tape to close similar holes on my previous Montana. The trick is to ensure the coroplast in clean before applying the tape. Seven years and 40,000 miles later it was still sealed tight. I used it on two other member's Montanas and they are going on 10 years with the tape still applied.

The Gorilla Tape will likely hold until have to change the valve again.

I have applied I would say 5 Years ago no Issues adheres very well to the underbelly

I have used on a friends trailer roof where the Rubber Roof meets the Fiberglass Cap then covered with Dycor Self Leveling Adhesive worked well in that application as well.
