Fla Keys & Key West Infromation

We stayed at Curry Hammock State Park in the Florida Keys and met a MOC member who was work camping there. He worked 2 months at Curry Hammock (Oct & Nov)and then in December he and his wife move to Long Key State Park.
If you are traveling to Key West you need to stop at see "Dee" who knows all about the Keys and Key West. He was born and raised in Key West and is a wealth of information on the area.
He's very interesting to talk with and knows the area.

Hugh, can you give us any info on the size of the sites at the State Parks there... Would we have any trouble in our monster? We are going for sure even if we have to wait until April to do so.

Helen, hope you and Bill are enjoying your new place.
Pat and I have a list of Curry Park, Bahaia Honda, and Long Key campgrounds good and bad sites. There are some spots on Long Key that the trees lean over the campsite. Some are narrow and some are short.
Curry Hammock only has 20 sites. They are all nice.
Bahia Honda -- don't stay right next to the bridge or the traffic will drive you crazy. You have to keep in mind that your in the Keys and are never far from US1.
Have a Great Thanksgiving!!
Contact me off line and I'll send you the list. Right now it's in the Mountaineer and its in storeage. We'll get the list next time we are there---a week at most.
