Yes the water pump on our 09 3400RL was noisy also to a point we couldn't stand the noise. We moved the pump to the basement level and insulated around pump after installing thick rubber pads for mounting and to act as insulators. Made a huge difference. The plastic lines transmitt a lot of noise and to eliminate that problem it is best to use a short section of rubber hose on the discharge and suction.
