If you have the Lippert hydraulic leveling system your Montana is much more stable than the average 5'er and you don't need the tripod.

tri pods

They are easy to sell to a newbe, hard to give away. Extra work with no reward. I don't know about reducing shake during dryer spin. I never tried it. Sits in the corner on the garage (aluminum) Was a gift

I’m laughing about all the remarks on this. We’ve got one that really helped on the old Forest River but after we got smart and got our 3610RL, we don’t seem to need it. Want me to ship it to you?

I had a tripod for years, got rid of it, while it did assist with stability, storing it was a pain. I know have the Steady Fast system, as at the time i got it, it was the only one compatible with the Hydraulic 6 point Level Up system (JT;s are however compatible with the electric level up system).
The product is fantastic, really stabilizes my unit, it stays attached all the time, and dosent take up any compartment space. PLUS, when I had a quick install question, I called on a Sunday, left a message, 10 mins later the Owner of the company called me and assisted me, from his cell phone. Not bad at all. Would recommend. I had the JT's on my old camper, they worked great as well, I like the Steady Fast better, since it accomplishes the same thing with less parts..

We had one for an older montana. It does stabilize the front. But, not enough to justify the cost and hassle. Unless... you full time in one place and don't have hydraulic jacks.

If you use enough blocks on each jack then you want have the hydraulic piston extending to far as to make the rv unstable. I usually use 1 block on the front and 2,3, or more on the others. I see many rv'ers pull in and let there jacks down with no blocks anywhere. I have a washer in the middle of the rv and when it spins it is fairly stable.

Those tripods were a haft to have gimmick someone came up with a few years ago. A lot of people bought them and discovered they were of no real value but don’t worry someone has another haft to product in the works to get your money. And it will be on the market by spring.

Is what you are calling "Strong Arms" the aftermarket braces that connect between the jacks? If it is then I love my Strong Arms. They make the rig solid as a rock when tightened down.

Yes JT strong arm are the braces that go from the legs to the frame of the camper. There are several other manufacturers that make a similar product. They work very well.

I use mine every time I set up it helps stabilize I also built one for the back of my camper and it stabilizes a lot keeps it from shaking around when you're walking around in the rear living area. I didn't have to spend the money to buy mine I just built them it took me a afternoon playing in the shop.

Yea its a pretty simple idea. I suppose anyone with the tools and know how could make them easily. I could have, but by the time I gathered up all the material and spent hours making them they were bought/installed and in use.

I didn't have to go buy materials at all I had some old bolts and I had some old electrical conduit laying out back just gathered everything up and put it together didn't take long at all.

I see everyone talking about strong arms, how do they attach to my auto level system. I do have a king pin tripod, and it does take the wiggle out of the camper when someone is walking around up front.

I am sure the strong arms would take almost all movement away, but I for one am reluctant to try them with the six point level up system. If for some reason you forgot to loosen them up before operating the system, you would surly cause a lot of damage, possibly bending a leg ram or two.

you will need to remember to loosen them. I have the steady fast system, sine the JT strong arms were not compatible with the 6 point hydraulic level system. They work great. It comes with a reminder warning sticker to make sure to loosen them. I have it applied right at the control panel for the leveling system. I have yet to come close to forgetting to loosen them. They do a much better job than just a tripod, and work just as well, if not better than the JT ( I had the strong arms on my previous camper that only had manual leveling.

Unless the JT strong arms changed their design to add the connectors for the level up system, you will need the steady fast system Same price, less parts, and works just as well if not better. I love it.
