Shock bracket on Basement door

Just curious if anybody has ran into this problem. I have a 2014 3582RL. The problem is that the bracket that the shock attaches to the inside of the basement door pulled off. I was told that Keystone makes a metal piece that can be attached to the basement door and then you can attach the bracket to the metal piece? I contacted my dealer and they said they did not know anything about it. Any information would be appreciated.

not uncommon. I pulled all mine off, and placed support brackets on the door and then reinstalled the arms. I used framing plates from Home Depot, the flat rectangular ones used with 2x4s and they worked great. no problem since. Others have simply used gorilla glue with toothpicks.

I used the gorilla glue and toothpicks method - holding fine.

Odd, but ours have seen 5 1/2 years of daily use as full timers and haven't failed yet. Haven't even had to retighten any of the screws.

Hydraulic Shock on basement door

I did the plate and then attached the bracket to the plate. Seems to work good.
Thanks for all of the replies.
