Eyes burning from water in shower

Has anyone experience eye iratation (burning) while taking a shower in a Montana? I know this sounds odd but we have been at 4 different camp grounds and experinced eye burning from the water in shower at all locations even at home. We use a filter at all times . We have changed filters and the water at home is softened and filtered from the house. We do not have the problem in the house. I checked with our dealer and they have never had this camplaint. Any comments would be appreciated.

Thanks for the all the responses on this topic. We seemed to have solved the problem with changing out the rubber shower hose and head to a metal unit. So far so good. Thanks again

Thanks for posting the solution, John. That's probably the last thing I would have thought of, so I need to keep this in mind, just in case...
