Dodge 6.7 Fuel Filter

Anybody change their fuel filter yet? Did you take the fender liner out and go thru the wheel well? From the top or bottom? Not a better idea on the design. I am past due but not looking forward to it. Nothing like diesel fuel in the armpit

Try searching at this site........ www.cumminsforum.com .........you may have to join to search but it is free..........If I remember right they said that you could change the filter from the wheel well but should remove tire to make it easier though...........don't remember anyone saying about removing the fender well.

The Dodge service manual says remove the wheel and the inner fender piece of plastic. I was just looking for an easier way. I have mud flaps installed and they use the push in fasteners in a couple of places. They are Mopar accessories. These would be a real pain to remove to get the inner fender out.

My 2003 was soooooo much easier. I`ll be changing the oil and fuel filter when I get back from the Keys at the end of April. We`ll see how it goes. Its 4:15am now and will be leaving shortly. Good luck changing it, I`ll check thread to see how everyone made out changing the fuel filter, and what is the easiest way.

I read on a forum someone said they were able to get their hand up there to remove the filter. But my hands are probably not small enough.

I decided to not make the fuel filter change myself when the dealer told me it's $45, parts and labor, for them to do it.
