Dennis,

Take a look at the manual http://www.pullrite.com/pdfs/SuperGl...%205-25-07.pdf
On page 10 it describes the thumping cure and it has a great exploded diagram of the turntable cam arm which I presume has the only nylon pad.. I think !

Dennis,

I know the feeling. I had a copy of the manual in my truck last year when I was trying to unhitch at a site which had me way way over 16 degrees. I was at my wits end when my wife shouted 'hey undo those pins from each side of the hitch ( at the locking part) and then unhitch !!!' Well she was reading the manual !!!!! did I ever learn that day.

Your profile says "age 40" let me tell you Sean, it's only beginning on how smart our wives really are. We just don't listen!

Thanks Sean, That is a great link and I should have posted it myself.

For those that don't have their owners manual handy take a look at the above link.

In the case of the 18K Superglide scroll down to page 19. On page 20 is a breakdown of the parts and on page 21 is the parts illustration. Part #E1 is the Forward Shaft Stop Asm and within that illustration is a rectangular block. This is the block I am referring to.

If you have the 14K Superglide, like mine, the page # is 16.

After discussion with Arizona dealers I finally worked out a deal with our Kansas City dealer where we bought the two most recent Montanas. We'll be back there in June and he'll install it then. We went with the 18k superglide, superrails (the cleanbed rails are the only rail set available for the Dodge megacab), quick connect capture plate, superglide hitch cover, and a can of the new spray lubricant.

I've downloaded the manual and the other documents and will digest them thoroughly before June.

Steve,

I think you are really going to enjoy your new Superglide! I will be very interested to see what you think of the new spray lube for the way tubes.

Update -- after working out the deal with our KC dealer, I was contacted by the dealer we'd been working with in AZ. Bottom line is they beat the KC deal by $200. So we made an appt to take truck and Montana to Prescott Valley on April 7th for the install (we leave here 4/14). I feel pretty good to get out the door, tax and everything, for about $700 less than the original offer, for the following:

18k Superglide
Install kit - super-rails
quick connect capture plate
SLIP lubricant - 1 can
Superglide cover
labor to remove 16k Reese/Kwik-slide hitch
labor to install superglide
tax.

Steve, sometime it just keeps getting better! Great deal and good luck on the install. Dennis
