My son invoked the lemon law several years ago on a Dodge Stealth. It was in the shop 45 days out of 180 for the same problem. They gave him full price of what he paid for it less mileage use.

Good luck.

like i say never buy a truck just because its the best deal , its a bad buy when you have to buy too much weight for what you are doing such as a snow plow pack when you are on the way to fl , the snow plow belongs in the north as some const co truck thats heavy and who cares but not pulling a 5th down the rd to fl , get rid of it and buy what works for you not the best deal as you are paying mpg for it now but it will get worse as the ft end will go next and then the tires

John.. The snow plow package is only some heaver duty suspension. There is no snow plow equipment of any kind on the truck. Same with the camper package, just heaver duty suspension. I do not think there is anything wrong with the truck..However The 6.4 Diesel leaves much to be desired... we will see in the next few days.

Jerzey, I have no idea why Dodge didn't increase the ratings when they went to the fully boxed and heavier frame in 2006 and also increased other components. In any case, we're towing a 14,620 lb Montana with 2860 lb pinweight with a 2007 MegaCab (shortbox single rear wheel) with the 6.7 and automatic. The truck is closing in on 21,000 miles, of which well over 7,000 is towing (my log is out in the truck and it's dark out there so I'm not getting exact numbers). All I can tell you is when towing this Montana through mountains and all other kinds of terrain I'm convinced I made the right decision. This engine/transmission combination is amazing. They just don't seem to be working hard at all. That said, I remain convinced they're all good choices but the Dodge was the right choice for us at this time.

Sreigle, What would happen in case of the accident? (God forbid)
If your truck is rated for 12500 lb and your trailer is 14500 lb?
Thanks for answering and Happy Holidays for All

I must honestly say I cannot complain one little bit about the 6.4 diesel. In my experience it has been everything it promised to be. I could not be happier. Having said that there will always be one off the line that needs more work. Been on thedieselstop for over a year now and most of the buyers are very happy with that engine. Ford has had few problems , especially compared to the early release 6.0. On second thought I could be happier about the mileage but it is just exactly what everyone was reporting so I bought it knowing that.

Jim, what's your mileage? I heard a lots of different reports. I am still on the second tank of the fuel and I was getting about 19 mpg on a hwy and 15 mix @ 60-65 mph. I am watching turbo gage and I am trying to keep boost around 10 psi whenever
possible. All this I am getting from the truck computer and I will verify this by hand after next refueling. I love the truck,
but pulling test have to wait till spring.

Well turns out mine has a bad DPF which could be the cause of my dissatisfaction with the 6.4L.It is on order and will be replaced next week. I expect better performance. A bad DPF can be identified by a black tail pipe (soot) their are NO sooty tail pipes on the new diesel motors.. If you have soot in your tail pipe you have trouble.

Richfaa, sorry to hear about your problems. I hope everything will be OK after this service. Tell them to re-flash truck,s computer software to the latest version. That version informs you when regen is happening and when is complete. I will take my truck to the dealer after I reach about 1000 miles for the same upgrade. Also I am keeping close attention to the humming noise while turning left. I hope it will go away after
I put some miles on it.

Jerzy, I'm at a little over 24,000 Km, which is about 15,000 miles I think. I have not tested my mileage lately, we use a different standard measurement now. I am using 15 to 16 litres per 100 Km which is in the 18 mpg area I think. Course then we have another mix up when trying to compare. Before metric we used the bigger imperial gallon which gave canadians a higher mpg than you would get with the US gallon. So, sorry, I haven't done a conversion lately and don't know where I stand in regards to mpg using the small American gallon. I do think from reading various comments that I will still have better mileage to look forward to when I get a few more miles on my truck.
