SPLENDIDE washer motor brushings

I have a splendide AW122 WASHER 8 years old when it was 4 years old I had to replace one of the motor brushes, now it is 8 years old again same brush have to replace. The other side is half worn. I order new brushes from splendide @ $47 each can't find anywhere else.

Has anyone had this problem, company says it happens?
I have never replaced brushes on a washer in my life.

Anyone know a cheaper source?

Thanks

If you can find a part number for the brushes, or maybe the motor itself, you can probably google it and find alternate sources. I would not think the motor is specific to Splendide.

Maybe you would be better off replacing the motor. It is possible the brush holder is damaged or you have a bad commutator that is causing the brushes to fail so quick. You may find the motor to be not that much more expensive than a set of brushes. From what I could see online, the motor may be a proprietary design that is made specifically for Splendide, and they probably have a lock on the supply of parts.

Hi Bob
Thanks for the reply yea I think they have all the parts. Not a bad idea to replace motor . I see a lot of these washers get replaced, i just might have to find a new used motor.
