Baja Trip
We will be traveling to California in February for a trip down the Baja with our 2955RL. We will be traveling with a caravan and were wondering how many folks had pulled their Montana's through the Baja.
I don't see any problem but the wife will feel better if she see's some good comments from someone else who has been their.
My biggest worry right now is the rotten weather and hopefully getting some decent weather and roads. If things don't clear up through Oklahoma and Texas it may be difficult.
Planning on heading out about February 10, arriving in Chula Vista on the 13th and entering the Baja on the 15th.
If anybody is going in the same direction or have been through the Baja before would like to hear from you.

As long as you are going with a caravan, I don't think you wil have any problems - the last time I went to Baja was about 15 years ago in 25 foot motor home pulling a 17 foot boat - nice highways all the way down to the tip and good fishing in Loreto and Mulege! Enjoy!

Thanks Suzanne, we are hoping this turns out to be a very nice trip. Last year at this time we had just purchased our Montana in Tulsa and had pulled it to Del Rio while I worked with a company in Acuna that our manufacturing was moved to. Since that time I have retired and the wife and I have decided to travel while we are still healthy. At one time we considered going full time but after living in Del Rio at the RV park for several months decided that wasn't for us and we would keep our home and just travel when we could.
We chose the Baja as our first extended trip as I had spent some time in Guerero Negro putting some trucks in service but never had time to go sight seeing. I know a few people that still work for the salt company and hope I can find them and say hello while we are in the area.
The other reason was to see the whales during the time we will be their.
Well I have rambled long enough and better get off of here. Congradulations on the purchase of your Montana and hope you get to use it soon.
