Water Heater Again
I have a 6 gallon tank in my Mountaineer. Showering is impossible seeing as how the hot water lasts 2 minutes(timed). I was convinced that there was something wrong and went to take a look. Found an electric switch in the flu,all burnt up. Called Suburban and got the ole bring it to a certified person. It wouldn't take a monkey to figure out that it wasn't supposed to be there. Anyway pulled the black cover(for reset switches)and found both switches installed. I guess thats not the problem. I had two other RVs,both with 6 gallon tanks and was able to take numerous showers even with the water running continuously. It doesn't seem that this tank even attempts to recover untill its totally empty.I don't know what else to check seeing that everything is automatic.I think it was kinda stupid for a unit of this size to have a 6 gallon tank to begin with. I bought it off the lot so didn't have a choice. Its not listed as an option in the 2004 brochure anyway.This was the maiden voyage and seeing as how this post is so long allready I won't even attempt to list all the short comings.So far I am very disapointed in this unit.
