Changing out my Norcold 1200 Fridge
Well the black box on my Norcold 1200 was flashing this past summer while on vacation. I was able to reset the box. Just pulled it out of storage this past weekend, plugged in the camper and fridge went into an OP L1 code and the black box was flashing again (did this immediately when it was plugged in). Tired of worrying about whether it's going to work or not so I'm going to make the switch to a Samsung refrigerator. Ordered the inverter setup and going to order the Samsung Thanksgiving weekend. I want to replace it prior to our camping trip during Christmas - New Years trip.

We replaced the whole cooing unit on our norcold 1210 after it failed with an arctic cold replacement unit and now the fridge goes to -4 in the freezer and the control is set on 4. and we didn't have to replace the unit with a residential fridge.

Would like to know more about "inverter set up" you ordered as I plan to go residential when my Norcold fails.

Ordered a AIMS Power PICOGLF20W12V120VR2000W Pure Sine Wave Inverter Charger. By brother-in-law changed his Norcold fridge out in his SOB this year to a Samsung and he is going to help me set it up. I'm planning on ordering the fridge Thanksgiving weekend and want to install when we get back after Thanksgiving. I'll see if I can post pictures when we get started (probably be the first week of December).

I have a question how did you secure your samsung fridge to keep it from moving when on the road, I installed a samsung RF18 in my montana, figured out the doors when traveling, just need to keep it in place
Thanks

I secured a piece of wood on top (kind of like a wedge) to keep it from rocking forward. I set the fridge on a couple of 2x6's that I secured to the floor and secured the base to the 2x6's. I don't think it is going anywhere.
Thanks
Steve

Our OEM cooling unit failed within the first 6 months and we did as Eagle back with the same results .We are set on 4 and any higher will freeze food in the fridge.

We paid $1100 for the Samsung and $99 for the exrended warranty. With it going down the road bouncing felt the extended warranty was worth buying. Home Depo. Had to ordered. Took a few days to get in.
