2005 Artic Insulation Package

On my new 2005 3255RL, the option sheet clearly lists the "Artic Insulation" package. However, the sticker next to the door, where I am used to seeing this option listed, is blank. Does anyone else have a 2005 with this sticker. The dealer thought that all 2005's came with this option as standard (and therefore the sticker was no longer required!), but the brochure clearly states it as an option. Is there anyway to tell whether or not I actually have the option installed? Thanks,

I have a 2005 and the sticker is next to the door. I do not think they all have it and it is an option.

If this were my 5er, I would call the factory with the serial number and ask the question. I think they keep records on each Monty. I would call, not write and not email. But then that is me. I like to talk to humans and have atendancy to want immediacy.

I would call the factory to get the info right away but them I would email so when they reply you have it in writing "just in case".

I have a copy of the option list for 2005 Montanas and the Artic Insulation package is definitely an option. It's good advice to contact Keystone with your VIN and ask them if it's on your trailer.

Is there an easy way to visually tell whether or not I have the Artic package?

My 2005 3295RK has the sticker by the door. I think you were sold a Monty without the package.

If you can drop a couple of screws out of the bellypan you can look in there to see if you see a foil-backed insulation blanket. I think that's part of the Arctic Insulation package. Not postive but pretty sure.

Steve -

I believe you are right. Our tour guide said the arctic insulation package was the silver foil backed material in the bottom and the plenums inside the belly to keep the tanks warm.

I just brought home a 2005 3380RL and it has the sticker next to the door. Call the factory (then the dealer). Let us know what you found out.

No need to drop the belly pan. The foil bubble wrap can be seen under the carpet on your slides... at least in the 03 model. Lift the edge of the carpet. You should see foam underlay and foil bubble wrap.

If you look under the belly, along the edge where the belly pan bolts to the frame you should be able to see the bubble wrap there too. The fit is so poor that if you look at the sag between the screws and the frame, the wrap is exposed. You can also shine a light in arounf the holes cut for the slide hydraulics and see the foil... best done at night.

Thanks Gruffy! You come through again! We are supposed to have the arctic package too. Next time we go down to storage we'll be checking it out like everybody else.
