Lazy Susan for 3400RL

OK. I asked the salesman before we took delivery, if the Lazy Susan should have 1 or 2 trays on it. He said the others he had there (3) only had 1 tray.

Do yours have 1 or 2 trays on it? It looks like it was designed to have 2 trays. Just not sure.

Thanks.

Mine only had 1 tray... I found a great idea from Parrothead about relocating the lazy susan. Sue had it moved from under the sink to the cabinet on the left, the one that only has 1 door. Makes the space under the sink much more user friendly. Hope to make this change to mine sometime this summer.

There is one tray on the Lazy Susan and we relocated it to a dedicated shelf out in the storage barn. I mean the cabinet doors open from both sides...Why the lazy Susan???

Mines also has 1 shelf. I use mine for cleaning supplies, and surprisingly the stuff stays up-right.

Both of our Montanas had two shelves and they were relocated to the storage shed. Patti uses that space for things she doesn't have to get on her knees for!

The lazy susan in the 3400 is different than the other models. It is in the island and one has one shelf - big. We moved it to the left as you are looking straight at the frig. This cupboard only has a door on the dining room side. So this puts the lazy susan kind of tucked away. We put all the cleaning supplies there and they ride just fine. The fuller you have it the better things are. A roll of paper towels will fill it up. You can reach a small portion of it from the kitchen side. I really like it and this allowed us to put the waste basket in the far right side and it can be reached from each side.
Happy trails....................

Ours only has one try as well. It would be nice to have a couple more, but you do have a problem with the sink plumbing/drain that run in the same area. In fact, the wife and I are think about just taking in out and possibly moving it, or just deleting all together.

Most of us with 2004 and 2005 Montanas got the one with only one shelf. I may be wrong, but I think the 2006 brochure pictures it with two shelves. That said, ours is somewhere in the garage.... We replaced it with the plastic coated white wire shelf from Wally World that allows us to have two layers of pot and pans under the sink. Works for me!

Our 06 3670 has two shelves. It currently exists in a top (hard to reach) right side cupboard. I am undecided whether to keep it or not. Only the jolly green giant can reach the second shelf.

Our 3475RL didn't have a lazy susan. I feel cheated! Nothing to take out and throw away.

I too liked the Jolly Green Giant! Our 2005, 2400 had one shelf and our too is in the garage (only because I haven't put it in the garbage yet.... Images of the Jolly Green Giant can goods on the top shelf made me remember that many years ago when my folks were still alive they had a RV. Every summer they spent in Canada and once when they were crossing the boarder they were pulled over for inspection, mom said that the boarder guard ask if he could go into the RV and look around, she told him sure they had nothing to hide. So.... in he went... opened a top cupboard and our fell a heavy coffee cup and hit him on the top of his head... he then said you are ok... have a great summer!!!

I borrowed the salesmans "big" sales talk book they all have.... telling them how to close a sale etc etc.... in that book it describes many aspects of the 5ver the salesman is to point out....and it states in the book that every Montana has a lazy susan... "find it and show it...as it is a customer favorite"... in the section describing each model, for instance model 2955 it states a multi level lazy susan in cabinet above sink....in model 3400RL, it states a single level lazy susan below kitchen counter ... model 3685 Fl it staes a multillevel lazy susan in cabinet above kitchen sink. and in other models there is no describtion of a lazy susan...
soooo it depends on the model you get as to how many trays you will have. and I am sure they make only one base for the lazy susan...and either put one tray or two.

Dave (future owner of a montana ---maybe -- we are still looking)

Our 3670 has a 2 shelved lazy susan. We have it in the cabinet above the right side of the sink. My wife being 5'4" does not seem to have any problem getting things from it....maybe because she she has me get something from it most of the time...

Our 2955RL had a two shelf lazy susan when we got it. It went MIA after the first trip.
