Carol, sorry but I don't have the model number of the Sylvania since it is long gone and so is the box it came in. It wouldn't help your search anyway since ours was only 19" in that 5er. I believe you need 24". The note was just to let you know that the RCA and Sylvania (if you can find one) are virtually the same.

you hit the nail (errr TV) on the head, the units with speakers on the ends will NOT fit.

And, we don't belong to Costco, wonder if there is even one in the Rio Grande???

Check them all real close. Some of them have speakers you can unscrew an place below the LCD. I have no idea why a lot of manufacturers put them on the ends. They must realize most cabinetry out ther was built for the old 3x4 display.

If I read correctly, your opening is 24.5" x 21.125". Below is a link to K-mart's website for a Sharp TV that measures 24.07 x 20.28 - http://www.kmart.com/catalog/product...CategoryId=117. It's a 25" stereo with front AV jacks. Hope it helps.
