Shore power voltage drop concerns

When connecting to the shore power in campground my surge protector showed 122 volts so seemed all good. Turned on the elect fireplace, appears to be drawing approx. 10A, and saw that the voltage output had dropped to 109V. seemed too coincidental that our refrig was not able to keep temp at approx. 36 degrees so went to gas and the refrig temp is back down to 36

Normal to have this voltage drop issue? I've not noticed it before at other sites or when using our generator.
Would a 5ver High Country have an inverter that could be an issue? Realize it should not be a consideration, but just want to insure I'm considering all options. I don't want to start burning up appliances due to low voltage. I'm a bit green and not familiar with all 5ver considerations, so thanks for your patience with maybe a dumb question.

No, that is not normal. Check to see if your plug at the post is getting warm/hot. Could be a bad park outlet with high resistance. Have the park maintenance person open his box and check the voltage at his breaker and outlet and see if it is dropping on his side at the same time it is dropping on yours. That will tell if it is a park problem or if you have a problem.

This is an example why I have a Hughes Autoformer permanently hooked up in my main storage area. We frequent a lot of the older campgrounds at the lakes that have dated wiring and pedestals that have been under water many times in their lives. When the voltage drops below 115 VAC, the Autoformer automatically kicks in with up to 10% boost.

That much of a voltage drop is usually because you are at the end of a circuit that has wiring a bit too small to prevent the voltage drop, along with possibly many others putting high amperage loads on that same circuit.

Thanks for the feedback and suggestions, very much appreciated and helpful. Going to look at the Hughes unit and other options. Heading to the campground office now.. Ken
