Sumo Springs for fifth wheels

I had an almost identical experience with a rougher ride after installing the sumo springs. After seeing drawers & cabinets open up on the road, we took the sumo springs off of the Montana. I did the install/removal myself. It was not that difficult. Was able to get good spring clearance for both install and removal by using the level up system to raise the rig off of the springs to provide needed clearanance.

dlowrey, I did not install the Sumos because of the issue moving this propane line. Now I'm looking for the installation of real shock absorber. First I was interrested by Sumos cause of the easy installation process but now with this propane line issue this project is dead ! My new project is now 4 shock absorber depending if it's doable and the cost.

The biggest problem is the fact that OEM Suspension only has 2, maybe 3 inches of travel at most, hardly enough for shocks to really do much. Where the MORryde Independent gives 4 to 5 inches of travel allowing their shocks to actually work.

Add to that the angle at which the shocks are typically mounted from vertical. The greater the angle, the less effective the shocks are.
