After Q

After Q we headed south to Yuma. Mel and Joy graciously made space available at their beautiful home. Full hookups no less!

We spent an entire week enjoying the weather and sights of Yuma.

Unfortunately both Mary Kay and I got sick. Ended up at the local Urgent Care facility. This is beginning to be an annual event for us! One that we don't really care for! After a few days we finally started feeling a little better.

Mel and Joy thank you so much for your great hospitality! It was great getting to meet Charlie, Mel's dad. What a fantastic retirement place you folks have built. In spite of being sick we throughly enjoyed our stay at your resort!

Dennis and Mary Kay

PS.... The boys throughly enjoyed their free roaming adventure and of course the great "treats"!

Dennis and Mary Kay, sorry to hear that you got sick again this year and we are hoping that you two are better now and enjoying the rest of your trip. What is your next destination? We are at Pueblo El Mirage RV & Golf Resort in El Mirage, AZ untill the end of the month then we are heading back home.

Thanks Doug,

We're headed toward Pahrump after Laughlin. If things work out then on into Death Valley and then home. We, too, would be home by end of month.

We are both doing a bit better. Hopefully no relapse.

Hope you folks are having a good time too. Enjoy your trip and we'll see you later.

For those of us still camped in Q (Dave & Kelly, Ray & Pam, and us) after hasn't happened (yet). But we are all leaving in the next few days. Hopefully we will see you along the way.

Carl and Susan and group!

Wow! Still there! That is amazing. I'll bet it is very nice out there now.

Randy,

We plan to stay at the Escapees park in Pahrump. We have never been to this part of the world so open to suggestions.

Think we have decided to not go back down to Lake Havasu City for fireworks. Just too much of a backtrack route for us.

Don as it turned out it was not the injectors. Just install a new fuel filter. It still had the same code as the injectors and the truck could run a long time before it would act up. The dealer says to change the filter every 10,000 miles.

Dennis & Mary Kay,
I just wanted to say thank you for staying, we also enjoyed having you with us. I sure do miss my morning greetings from the boys! I got a few pictures of them while you were here, When I put them on the computer I'll send you a couple. Those dogs are just too cute!

Well, I can tell you that you left a couple days too soon! The weather has been wonderful! We even had a campfire out by the pool house last night and didn't go in until around 9:00 pm, it was so nice.... very warm and no wind!

Butch,
When you guys leave the Q, is any of you coming down toward Yuma way? If so, give us a shout! Take care everyone, and safe driving!

We are now in Lake Havasu awaiting the fireworks. After that is uncertain. If we get back towards Yuma you will hear from us.

Dennis and Mary Kay,
Sorry to hear you were both so sick. Hopefully you are much better by now. The weather here at El Mirage, AZ has been great the last few days. Possibility of rain in a day or so, but back into the 70's by the weekend again.

Carl & Susan and Robbie & Alice, have the fireworks started yet?? Would love to see that. Maybe next year.

We are at the Standard Wash Campground where Internet connectivity is a challange (hence the late response).

Well we made it to Pahrump. It was a challenge but we made it. The problem was the wind. It was probably the strongest we have ever traveled in. But we were in no hurry so just took our time and enjoyed the ride.

Strange finding a town the size of Pahrump out in the middle of absolute nowhere! And, wow! Has Las Vegas exploded! I cannot believe how much it has grown!

We saw a few Montanas on the road. One fellow was just outside Boulder City on the side of the road. That would be Hwy 95. Hope it was just a short time he was sidelined. Looked like he was working on the drivers side front wheel area. Was it one of our MOC family?

We are at the Escapees' RV park in Pahrump. We are in space 78A if anyone is in the neighborhood. We'd love to get together with anyone in the area.

Today we drove a few miles north of Pahrump to visit Prariepoodle. They live in Amagrosa Valley. They are at the corner of NV 373 and Hwy 160. If you love the high desert country then you'd love it here! We have always been partial to desert country.

Linda and Walt are a wonderful couple and we really enjoyed our visit. Their little poodle is one of the cutest things I've ever seen. What a beautiful color.... sort of an apricot.

We drove south from their place after having lunch at the local casino and passed through Death Valley Junction. We missed our road and ended up going on down to hwy 178 and across to Pahrump.

Thank you Walt and Linda for taking the time to show us the sights of your area!
