setting up the pin height

Greetings, I am wondering how critical setting the pin height to get the trailer level is. I have got the trailer within 2" front to back...across about a 25' span. Just a little high in the front. At this point I would need to move the pin box up one set of holes and then move the hitch up one set. hole spacing on the pin box is 2.5" and on the hitch is 1.5" This should get me perfectly level, but I guess I wonder if I am close enough.

What do you all think?

A little high in the front is OK but level is preferrable. A critical issue is the distance from the tail gate to the bottom of the trailer overhang. Truck and trailer all sitting in a level spot you should have at least 6" clearance above the tail gate and/or bed rails. If being level means anything less than that then leave it a little high to the front.

I have run a little high in front ever since buying my current truck new in 2012. No problem in thousands of miles. Have 6” bed rail clearance so I don’t want to lower the front of the trailer.

I, like BB_TX, have run an inch or two high since 2012. About then they started making dang truck beds about 2-3 inches higher causing all these problems.
