J wrap alternatives?

Greetings. 75 miles short of home on a 2,000+ mile trip I clipped an overzealous pole on an island at a gas station. Ripped the driver side J wrap and pulled away some of the rear wall. Not a huge repair to do by myself in the driveway, but annoying. Has anyone done anything other than simple sheet metal panels for the J wrap? It's 49.5" x 31" with ~6" radius bend in it. A couple of screw holes and a cut out for a side light. I was thinking something like a plastic panel that was flexible enough to be bent. Anyone done that?
Thanks. 2015 38" Montana 5th. 3611RL

You might try Trekwood.com and see if they handle a replacement.

That's to bad you have to watch out for stuff like! You to watch your tail swing. You can get the J panel metal from the dealer or Trekwood.com.

OK, i give up. What's a "J-Panel" and a "J-Wrap"? Never heard this jargon before.

J panel is the sheet metal just below your fiberglass(filon) side of the camper. The trim piece it slides up in is called a beltline molding. The J panel is formed in a J shape if you look at it on end.

Unless you are not too particular with looks … I'd just order a length of OEM J panel and trim it to fit. And … be more careful with your turns.

Trekwood.com as a LAST RESORT as their prices are high. Dealers get these pieces often and are probably easier on the price.
