This was at Walmart when we pulled in . Told the wife we will leave early before him so the accident won`t slow us up. Maybe I`m over reacting.

Hunting camper put together by three good buddies. One with a truck bed trailer, one with an old slide in camper, and then the one with the, soon to be totaled, F150.

I have been using a product called "Lyft" available on Amazon. I found some at a Ocean Depot for $3.00 a bottle compared to around $12.00 at Amazon but it is a hit or miss at these job lot stores. My Monty is peeling all over and where the decals are gone, the glue has attracted a lot of road dust. I found that on a warm day, if you spray the decals and wait five minutes or so, the glue residue with the dirt will scrape right off. The decals that have not lifted can be scrapped from the edges and require more work but will come off. Plastic scrappers do not work. I use a putty knife. At first it appeared the knife was scratching the fiberglass but on closer inspection it was scrapping the residue adhesive and with gently persuasion, it scrapped right down to the fiberglass with no damage to the substrate. It took about thirty minutes to remove the Montana logos from the rear sides, thirty for each side. It does leave a lot of little adhesive balls that will come right off with a pressure washer or soapy sponge. I have lived with this peeling for years and and am relieved I have found a solution. To finish remove all the decals, with the exception of the front cap, which has been done, I estimate about a day or day and a half working at a steady pace. Well worth it for me to make the Monty look presentable.

This isn't a new idea. Seen several of them during hunting season where your wealth is meaured by the number of washing machines on your front porch.

We have also seen similar setups in hunting camp country perhaps they were transporting it to a site in hunting country.

I don’t see much difference between pulling this and a small camper. The truck will certainly pull it. The only problem I see are possibly the tires and I can’t tell if they ate overloaded by looking at the picture. If one did blowout we’ve had plenty of them here.

Being a native I can say this where yall can't. Obviously you have never visited Arkansas. There are folks here full timing in worse. Then again is it really ft if the wheels are off of it? They usually come off about week 6 to buy beer...

45 years ago, my father built something like this. He was tired of removing the bolted in and very heavy 5th wheel hitch he pulled the bulldozer and trailer with to put the camper on the truck. He made a 5th wheel trailer out of a pickup box-making the trailer a tandem as well. It looked really cool when it was done. I don't remember him ever using it to "pull" the truck camper. It did go into service as a trailer for hauling landscape supplies. I wish pictures were as easy to take then as they are today. On reflection, I don't know how he would have worked the brakes out on it. Maybe that's why he never pulled the camper on it!

Those tires are definately overloaded and if he does have a flat with that setup it will on its side in a ditch. Hopefully he doesn't cause an accident when he crashes and burns.
