I know someone added support for the spare tire, I'm sorry I don't remember. I would like to do the same, I lowered mine, and it is held up by a small cable and a gear release.
Not secure enough considering the consequences of it's failure.
It could tear up the bottom of the Monte, and worse than that, a loose tire traveling at highway speeds could kill someone. Wouldn't want that on my conscience.
I thought maybe Two cables strung under the tire for a 'Fail safe'
backup.
Any ideas from you all?
