Anyone traveled US highway 10 east connecting to I-70? Any good campgrounds between Walsenburg and I-70?

We haven't been from Walsenburg to La Junta, but I assume it would be similar to La Junta to pueblo which isn't bad. Safe travels.

10 is a pretty remote highway through the grasslands. If you're headed for I-70 anyway, I guess I'd stay on I-25 to Colorado Springs and catch Hwy.24 to I-70 @ near Limon. Good sized KOA just south of Co. Spgs.

If you do go up 10 to Hwy. 50, there's a KOA in LaJunta that used to be pretty decent........haven't stayed there for a long time.
