Batteries

I just buttoned up our Montana High Country for the season and pulled the battery for inside storage. Upon doing so I was surprised to see that it has no indication whatsoever of whom the manufacturer is. The only decal on the battery is a bar code sticker and the letters "24M-DP May 12" on it. I scanned the bar code with my ipad but it comes up empty on an internet search. Our Cougar had an Interstate battery that was clearly identified. Isn't it kind of strange that the manufacturer of the battery is nowhere to be seen?

I would not worry about it. Couple of the known manufacturers sell generic with no brand name at discounted prices.

Our dealer put something like that in ours. Since I was going to go with two batteries, I bought a matched set of interstates and sold the original on Craig's list. If I was going to stay with one battery I would have kept it and used it up since I have a jump start battery in the truck that will open and close the slides etc if I get in trouble.

the 24m is the series or model of the battery. most batteries are series 21,24, 27 etc. the "DP" is probably for deep cycle. the brand? good question, but as long as it works, not to worry
