If you are in Florence, take a trip out toward Eugene and visit the Armitage County park. The ride is a twisty turney, but doable.

We have stayed at Ben Bow Resort in Garberville, CA. and also Klamath`s Camper Corral in klamath, Ca.
Enjoyed both places, lot of trees to see. While at Camper Corral we enjoyed taking a drive and then hike
in to Fern Canyon.

We stayed at the Emerald Forest at Trinidad RV park in Trinidad, CA. LOVED it ... parked among the redwoods. My notes tell me the wifi was rather weak ... understandable with all those trees ... but really good cable. It's close to Redwoods National Park. (We were in Site #18 - a pull-through with redwoods right outside our door.) Small town of Trinidad is lovely.

While heading up the coast we stayed at the Riverwalk Rv Park in Fortuna, Ca. for a few nights. Very nice park and if you indulge, walking distance from the Eel River Brewery which is organic brew. http://www.riverwalkrvpark.com/
