Tri-pods for 5th wheel

Hello all. We recently bought our first 5th wheel - - a Big Sky 3685FL, and notice a lot of folks in the campgrounds use some kind of brace under the hitch when on a site - - either a two or three legged device. Not sure what the pro's and con's are of them, which ones might be best, and how well they work. Any info would be appreciated. . . .
