I doubt the carpet and pad would tolerate the slide operating. What a pain if it got all wadded up under the bed, or worse dragged outside by the slide.

My 2011 3455sa has padding under the carpet. The bed has wheels that roll over it when going in and out. No issues at all.

If there is any under our carpet it's so thin that it may as well not be there.

Same for us. When I change the vents it doesn't seem like any is under there.

Actually, in my 2011 the padding was pretty high density. Looked like something that would be in your house. You can remove a heat register to look at it. If its multi colored it should be good padding.

Got mine back from dealer yesterday bottom of slide is 2 inches above floor there is no reason why it should not have padding

The bed isn’t the lowest part of that slide.. The slide floor runs very close to the trailer floor when it goes in.

Not sure what a 2018.5 is but if our 2018 3791RD (built 8/17) has a pad under the carpet, it is without a doubt, the thinnest pad one can imagine. Don't get me wrong. I'm not complaining since this is the unit we chose after looking at many for 9+ months. The carpet is a short shag that feels fairly thin. We did not get the Legacy Package because I definitely did not want the Shoreline® Low Profile Power Cord Reel nor the Keystone In-Command Control System. Ours did come with a king bed which appears to be an option. I see no options that list a carpet pad or upgrade just Shaw carpet with R2X Protection under standard features.

Our rig has padding under the carpet. Our perfect rig would not have any carpet just throw rugs but I understand the carpet helps with the slides.

If yours has the stacked stone around standard size fireplace it is a 2018 but if you have all wood around entertainment center and a 48" wide fireplace it is a 2018.5. All wood throughout the .5 is a different color too. I think the kitchen, hall, and bath flooring is different too. I agree with you about the Legacy package.

So ours is a .5. Would liked to have the rear view camera, night shades and also the n/a in 3791 rear cap. I've been in some full timers that have replaced the carpet with wood flooring.
