Finally realized our dream

If you heard a loud, joyful noise emanating from Roanoke, Virginia around May 5 -- it was me. After much planning and dreaming for nearly 10 years, we finally bought our Montana -- a 2013 3455SA -- at Camping World in Roanoke. We are so happy with our Montana. One more year and we'll be full-timing.

We do have an issue with the wrong capture plate being installed on the pin box for the Pull-rite hitch which damaged the pin box, but Camping World in Akron, Ohio is working with us to get the problem resolved. However, this is another story for another time.

But I can't tell you enough how happy we are with our new baby.

Congratulations to both of you! Several of us will be at Sevierville, TN at the end of July for this year's Mid-Atlantic rally. Would be a good opportunity to show it off if you guys are free then!

Congratulations, love the floorplan. Like you, we waited, and waited and then waited some more before pulling the trigger on ours last year. We worked our way up through the tents, a pop-up, and 2 travel trailers. Now we have our retirement rig. Problem is, one of us is still working (me). Best of luck with your pinbox issues. I'm sure they will be a distant memory soon enough. Be sure to share your experiences here. It's also a great place to seek advice. Enjoy your new Montana!

Congratulations! We nearly bought our rig at CW in Roanoke. Ended up getting what we wanted in Danville, VA instead. Too bad Roanoke didn't have the decor we wanted... My mom, and my sister and her family live there!

Enjoy your new Monty and maybe we'll see you in Roanoke one day (can you recommend a good campground there?)

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome. I've been lurking on this site since 2006 when richfaa told us about it. Learned a lot during this time. We really weren't going to buy until next year, but couldn't pass up the price on the 3455SA. First hugh think I ever bought over the internet -- big gulp.

Other than the hitch issue, it went pretty well. Really nice people in Roanoke but maybe not too well-versed in some of the products they sell. The hitch issue should have never occurred. Got a call from CW Akron, OH and they are going to fix it this weekend. Now we can tow without fear of further damage.

Hope to run into as many moc'ers as I can in our travels. Great bunch of folks.

Congrats on the new rig!! That's an excellent floor plan as our previous unit was a 3455sa as well.
