Picking up 3750FL today

We had a 2005 Jayco 323RKS. PDI is this morning... First trip is in 2-1/2 weeks to Fort Wilderness - our 3rd time.

Congrats on the new Montana!
Enjoy it and be safe. Others might be along to make a few comments about the PDI and what to watch out for.

Welcome to the forum. Look around in the different topics, pay particular attention to those that have details about tires. Hopefully you are aware of the issues and have upgraded the tires. We love our 3750FL and are looking forward to getting out again this year (First trip will be local at Easter). With regards to your PDI, make sure the dealer demonstrates exactly how the air mattress works on the sofa bed. Make sure it is the proper size as well, there have bee previous problems. If you use the search function at the top of the page and use the search term 3750, you should find some previous postings with specific items that you can make sure of at your PDI. After you get your rig, make sure to always check the bedroom door is closed BEFORE you retract or extend the slides. Keep us posted on your upcoming adventures, trials, and experiences.

Great! Hope the new Montana exceeds your expectations. Be very critical with your PDI. This is the time to be nit-picky. Once you have gone over the rig thoroughly, get it in your mind that you are going to enjoy this coach and stop being nit-picky. Once I had a house built. Trying to get all the little errors "fixed" nearly drove me nuts. There were moments when I wanted to do physical damage to the contractor. One day I decided that I would not let the incompetency of the man rob me of the joy of being in my new home. Then instead of focusing on the minor imperfections, my focus changed to what a nice place I had to live. What a difference an attitude makes.

Congratulations on the new rig. Take your time on the inspection. The dealer will want to rush. We found a cracked landing gear leg on ours. Look at everything and don't assume that just because it's working it's ok.

That's one beautiful rig! As others have said, take your time with the PDI. There is a PDI checklist here on the MOC site. You may want to use it to jog your memory when doing the PDI. Congratulations and welcome!

Good choice! Congratulations. Post a reminder somewhere so that you ensure the bedroom door is closed when you bring in the bedroom slides! You'll then get in the habit and hopefully avoid a disaster.

Thanks everyone for youe thoughts and comments. The PDI went pretty weel and we found a few items they had to address. They were very good about resolving these items.

Then we hit a snag - when demo-ing the auto-level system, it worked beautiful leveling the coach but would not retract correctly. They took the control pad and the module from another unit and they also did not work properly. Long story - we spent all day on the PDI and ended leaving without the coach. We live about an hour from the dealer so it is not a huge deal, but it still is a big deal. The dealer prep obviously could be improved!

Monday, they will work with Lippert on resolving the problem. We have confidence we will see satisfaction as they have been above board with us every step of the way.

But we are pretty bummed out and now our travel prep is getting compacted into a smaller time frame. We will definitely keep you informed of our progress. I like the idea of a note for the bedroom door. Thanks again, Mike

Theres always snags when doing the PDI. Thats why they are so important. Its much better to address these issues at the dealers than it is at the CG when you would have tried to retract them legs and it was a no go. Now that would have been a mess. Not to worry though, once the bugs get taken care of and you start doing your mods to make it yours, all will be well!!

Just returned from a weekend trip with ours. Second time out after taking delivery. Still finding some small problems but really like the trailer. If I was you I would make sure you spend at least a night in it before you leave for Florida. Better to get the bugs out here before you get to Fort Wilderness.
And, welcome to the forum.

Congratulations on the new trailer. Sorry about the delay, but like already said, better now than later on the road.

Enjoy!
