fan or therastat on fireplace

We have a new 3400rl 2009 camper. we are trying to take the chill off the camper with the firplace. It comes on and the fan will blow for about 2 to 3 minutes and then shouts off. We shut it off for about 5 minutes and try again, and it does the same thing. Is the thermostat set wrong or are we doing something wrong? Thanks for any help you can give.

To my knowledge there is not other control to the fan other than on and off. The knob on the left controls the heating element.
Since it is new I would take it back to the dealer.
My un-observed concern is faulty wiring which could cause a fire.
Good luck.

Mine had a bad safety cut-off. It would last a few hrs then no heat but fan was still on. Turn it off and it would work again. Similar but not exactly like your problem.

We had that problem with a Dimplex fireplace.

We got a replacement heating element assembly for no charge, in about 3 days from them.

Dimplex Customer Support

You might also check to see if the thermostat is turned to the highest mark.
