Congrats. What you carry has a lot to do with travel plans, ie weekend trips vs long road trips.

I'd first locate a spot for my adult beverages before the wife claims that shelf for her "stuff"

Thanks for the reply. Mostly it will be weekend trips with a two week vacation mixed in.

When we were two or three day at a time folks we stocked a second set of most things. Dishes, fun clothes, things like brooms etc and some standard non-perishable food items. That way when we got off work there is only basic packing and we were good to go. It also cut down on the length of the list of what to take each time.

We got our new 331 home 3 weeks ago but haven't had it out yet. One more week for our 1st shakedown trip. What to take is a learning experience but with mostly weekend trips, if you forget something at least you won't be inconvenienced for long. We started with a Springdale trailer 5 yrs ago and started a list for each of the rooms; i.e. Kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, basement, tools, etc. and then just built on that list with each trip. Also made a set-up and take-down list with the most efficient order to complete all the tasks and also ensure we don't forget something important, like cranking down the TV antenna.
Reading these forums will give you lots of ideas on what to take and on this forum as well as the Keystone forum there are some PDF lists that you can save, modify and print which has just about everything you could imagine.
Can hardly wait to get our home on wheels out on the road. Good luck with yours.

Just wondering if you found your TV antenna booster button. On our previous Cougar it was located behind the TV but I can't find it anywhere on the Mountaineer.

Charli-- Check in your front closet on the front wall right side. That's where we've seen a lot of them on the later models. Our 2004 2980 had it in the bedroom just below the Teli.

JohnEM38-- in respects on what to stock-- anything you would use at home or the Sticks and Bricks get duplicated in the fiver such as kitchen item. Same thing for the bathroom. If you want to leave extra clothes and bedding inside also that's good too. Less packing when you want to head out. I'm sure there will be more along telling you what you need inside and items needed for outside use. Welcome aboard and enjoy that Mountaineer!

Congrats on the new rig. For weekenders, look at how DQDick noted to double up on your essentials this way you don't waste time always packing. Just remember to remove items that are perishable in extreme heat or cold. Also always make sure if you are level when you turn frig on and do that the day before a trip so you can pack the food before you leave. Also make sure water is full and always empty tanks before you leave camp.
Good luck and safe travels.

Les

Congratulations and enjoy your new unit. We keep ours stocked like the house so we can get in and go at a spur of the moment.

Send a message via Yahoo to NCFischers
Before I put anything inside, I would get a good surge protector.
