What a saga! I have not had any replacements yet, but I did spend 30 years dealing with doctors of all sorts. Remember that surgeons can be a rather egotistical lot. They heal with their hands, not drugs, and many of them get a kind of God complex going...not all! Do not put them on a pedestal, and challenge them with a 2nd opinion if the answers are not up to snuff.
