Smile Just Bought Our Retirement Home

We have owned our High Country 305RL for exactly 1 month and a few hours. We are in heaven!

We owned a 2002 Keystone Cougar 275RL. We are in our mid-to-late 50s and starting to creak, and so was Cougar..... The mid-profile bed that we had to crawl into was getting harder and harder to navigate (my knees locked up one night and I was stuck!) The converter was starting to go, causing problems with the slide out operation. We had a chronic axle issue, that was constantly being repaired, that we suspect was due to it being hastily hauled up to Alaska from the lower 48 by the dealer before we bought it.

We decided on the 305RL, but it was 92K up in Alaska. We found it for 40K cheaper (with all the same upgrades) in South Dakota. After speaking with a sales rep from Rapid City Camping World, we looked at each other and said "Road Trip"! We did all the financing before we left, had wired a good sized down payment, and added a solar panel and washer/dryer combo.

We spent 5 days driving down with Cougar (the converter totally died the day we traded it in), picked up the new Montana, visited friends outside of Chicago, and surprised my husband's family in Green Bay.... all in all we were gone for a month.

I had no problem driving when pulling Cougar, and the yet to be named Montana is even easier to pull!

No regrets at all!

Enjoy! Montana life is pretty darn good. Sure we all have an issue once in a while but overall, life is great in our Montana!

What a nice retirement home. For the price of a camper you get a home on the beach by the lake and one in the mountains. What a deal.
