Ice maker troubles

Hello all. I'm new to the group but not to the love of Rving.
Just bought a new unit and have had very little issues with is thankfully. I have come across one problem however that seems to happen a lot and I can not figure this one out. I have a Samsung residential refrigerator with the ice maker in the bottom chest freezer. I can get it to make ice by hitting the ice maker reset but it will not dump on its own and continue to make. You have to hit rest to dump the tray. It refills the tray with water and refreezes but will not empty and refill on its own. Anyone else seen this issue or have a fix that I'm not aware of?

If this button you are using is under the front of the icemaker tray, then that is the button that is used to cycle the icemaker system to get water to the ice maker or water out when winterizing. Your issue sounds like a broken icemaker.

I will find my model number and get one ordered. Odd that it wont work since it has never been used but that is the way of RVs it seems.

Ok thought I had the same deal.
On the inside of the left fridge door at the top is the ice maker button.
If the blue glass indicator is LIT your ice maker is OFF!
I thought it was a glass showing ice cubes so figured that was on.
Instead in little bitty letters it says “ice off” wife won’t let me live it down.

This is great information. On our previous 3791 we had a problem of the freezer getting too cold, we couldn't stick a scoop into the ice cream tub it was so cold. Service Engineer came out and immediately knew what the problem was. (Samsung warranty).

Since we were not using the ice maker (no water supply) we should have had the ice maker turned off, IE the light ON. Apparently when not using the ice maker with the light off, the freezer reduces the temperature to quickly form the ice cubes, and in doing so reduces the temperature of the freezer, and hence the freezer contents.
