It is really easy to install suspension upgrades on a 3/4 ton truck. Go the the junk yard, pull a 1 ton suspension of a 1 ton and install. The frame on F250 vs F350 are identical. Brakes and springs and axles not so. So swap em out. That is what I did.

Towing is not the problem, the problem is the weight in the bed of the truck which puts the truck over its GVWR. The Tire and Loading Information sticker on the door jam gives you the max weight you can put in the truck...when it leaves the factory. That weight is decreased by what ever you add to the truck...hitch, cargo, extra fuel, passengers, etc. The sticker on the door jam does not mention towing or towing capacity.
