Interior makovers
We have recently bought a Montana 34'RL. I am not happy with the generic interior design. I am very interested in hearing from others with regard to your interior makeovers....

snowbirds R us,
This is probably not the bestest place on the forum to post your question, so, here are some other suggestions:
1.) Go to the top of this page, find "HOME", click there, then look around for Modifications and web pages by members. There are tabs at the top of the HOME page when you get there, hover over the tabs, discovery is fun!
2.) Go to the "All Forums" page here (look up and to the left) and look for these subheadings: GIRLS gone MOC OR MOC on M.A.R.S. , and under that look for Additions & Improvements
You can also try a "search", which sometimes works very well, other times, well, not so well! LOL
There are some great articles in the "Archives". While on that All Forums page, look to the far far right of each section and there is a little yellow box with an "A" in it, that is archived stuff.
Welcome to the forum, good luck, have fun, we look forward to seeing photos of your improvements!

We basically treat the rig like we did our stick home. We have 13 original art works on the wall as well as some other objects D'art mostly put up with command strips. We changed the bed spread and the furniture so for us it feels like home.

We have always dumped the furniture, faucets, and the mattress and replaced with good quality and have on occasion, simply transferred from old to new when we picked up a new unit. For example, I keep the original plastic faucets, and reinstall when I trade or sell.

Took out the world's most uncomfortable sofa bed and replaced with a very comfortable futon with frame that pulls out to a queen size bed. Got rid of the factory recliners and am looking for a chair that will become my natural habitat. Still looking.

We just recovered ours in a fabric Camilla found more appealing...the job was not difficult, but I would recommend buying an electric stapler to do the job.

We used Lazy Boy's - smaller one for Joyce, big one for me.

We replaced the 2 chairs with LANE WALL HUGGERS. We took the swivels off the 2 old chairs and put them on the Lane chairs so that they will turn.

Hi All:
We love our new Montana 2013 3800RE BUT we were wondering why they put such cheap lamp shades in and where someone might go, in the Phoenix area, to replace these shades.
Thank you for the input.

We took out our wallpaper border, recovered the headboard, made cabinets under refrigerator and closet (Thanks Don!!), changed toilet to comfort height elongated bowl, covered the interior glass cabinets with paper, changed out all lightbulbs to LED, and most recently added propane heater. I tried to post photos....but found that too challenging for me. Sorry : ( Ours is a 2010 3455.

In a previous rig, we didn't like the furniture, so we sold it (couch, two chairs) and purchase new (couch, chair and small table) at Ikea. Ikea furniture is meant for smaller spaces, and it worked great.

We love the interior decor in our 358rlt 2013 Mountaineer also. Would not change any of it. We have the sable color.
