Screw Anchors for thin walls
Anyone got a good source for screw anchors that will work on the very thin interior walls of a camper?
Trying to mount the spray head holder for the toilet. Not much weight but interior wall with no stud in a suitable location.

I use both. If it is light I use the command strip. I say light because the paper on the wall board will pull away. Trust me on that. If it is going on something else then use the command strip. Those anchors that Wally pick works great for short distance between walls that are 1/8" thick. I have used the common toggle bolt also by using a shorter screw but you can't remove the screw like the other one that Wally listed without the back dropping down behind the wall.

I use the command tape for everything, I just started using the velcro command tape and it works great.

I have used 1" EZ-anchors to really hold things. Keep the length short. I an not sure how thick the walls are but the 1" work well with out penetrating to outside shell

If you want top dollar when you trade don't put holes in the walls.

I get full use out of my RV's I don't like putting holes in the wall that are viable. Most times I let what was attached go with the RV.

I use these anchors in the camper. You can buy them in plastic or metal and there are several sizes at both lowes and home depot.
You drill a pilot hole and then drill the piece into the wall with a screw driver drill, then use the screw that comes with it. You can paint these when you sell the camper so there are no holes showing.

These nylon push pins can be purchased at Lowes. They are about 3/4" long. You have to drill about a 3/16" hole or whatever their diameter is into the wall to insert them. Then you push on the pin in the center which separates the two split sides out to serve as anchors behind the wall. It is the same pin they used to attach our RV shower surround to the wall. They come in a box of ?(many). The employees at my Lowes couldn't find them. Then a contractor told me to go back and look in the area where they sold wall panneling. They were hanging on a metal shelf post near the wall panneling.

Don't over think it. Just a short wood screw is plenty good to hold something light like that.

Nope the walls are so thin and weak the wood screws won't hold even something really light (I tried that first).

The walls are so thin any hole you drill and mount something could rip off when you hit a big bump in the road (can you guess how I know this?). What I would do if I were you would be to use one of the Command wall hooks and figure out a way to hang the sprayer on it-like a cable tie.

I have multiple coat hooks just screwed to the walls in various locations that have light coats/hats/robes hanging on them. They have traveled thousands of miles and they are still there. As long as you are not hanging anything heavy that will be fine with an aggressive thread wood screw (do not over tighten them) Just use a hand screw driver until just snug.
If you have to hang heavy items that you know are going to be there permanently, glue a backer board (stained to match) to the wall and attach your hooks/items to that.

Actually I found some yellow dart looking or maybe more like a broadhead (as in bowhunting broadhead) looking plastic anchors that work surprisingly well. They are sharp pointed and will pierce the walls rather easily (not really much of a challenge. They hold extremely well BUT they are permanent. I plan to only use them on things that I know will stay with the camper when we sell it in the future....

I have put a strip of hardwood behind the thin wall to screw into. But that only works if you can get behind the wall.
