Wind Damage June 24 2013 rollie41
Rollie and Janet had a narrow escape from being rolled over at Sturgis. The LARGE tent was lifted by a small twister. Rollie said a motorhome was pushed onto two wheels but not forced over.
Edit - pictures from security camera.
Both AC are damaged and multiple holes in the roof. They are heading to Goshen for repair after this Escapade Rally.

Summering in Kansas that's always been our big concern. We have an in ground tornado shelter coming but it's still not here due to several delays. During that time we've had 60mph wind gusts and small hail twice and just missed the 80mph or more once. That had to be really scary for all concerned. We'll feel much better when the shelter finally gets here.

Those pictures are so frightening! I can't even imagine their thoughts and fears when that tent came at them.
So glad they weren't hurt.

It is scary with storms out west. There seems to be bad weather from forest fires started by lightning, tornados, and scenes like the one in this post. Glad to here they were not injured and damage that can be fixed. All stay safe wherever you are.

Well Rollie and Janet will have plenty to talk about at the Fall Rally this year! Glad they are OK and the Monte only had the damage it did. It could have been a whole lot worse!

Been through one tornado and it was scary. The travel trailer in front of us was blown over. Glad no one was hurt.

Thanks for the concern. We were at Sturgis RV Park on our way to Gillette WY for the Escapees, escapade when it hit. We are leaving Gillette today heading for Goshen IN to get the rig repaired. Goshen was closed this week for their end of year stuff. we have an appointment next Monday. It rained last night and despite all my roof patch work we had one leak over the bed, on my side naturally. I guess that is what buckets are for :-).
Destroyed so far; both AC's, 2 solar panels,3 sky lights, all roof vents, TV ant, sat dish, 2 toppers, patio awning, front door, roof surface ( one hole the size of a football), the front AC was pushed down 6" into the bedroom, source of leak, I think roof trusses are bent.
we were inside when it hit, high pucker factor I'll tell you. we have video of the whole thing from their security cameras. that canopy (60'X90")completely covered our trailer as it rolled over with 2" pipes (frame) flailing in the wind.
I'll keep you posted, Rollie

About all I can say about that, and I hope the mods will allow it, is, ....Holy Crap!!!
...and, it's awesome that they have security video of the whole thing. Should make insurance claims, if any, clear and simple.
