My New Truck - 2001 Volvo 660 VNL

Picked up my new Montana Hauler. It is a 2001 Volvo 660 VNL. It has a Cummins N14 engine with 470hp. Checked off another item on my Bucket List. I always wanted a Medium or Heavy Duty Truck (HDT). Choose the HDT so I can tow the boat to fishing tournaments and have my own condo with me.

Good looking truck Joe. Do you need a commercial drivers license for it?

No. It is registered as a motorhome; therefore, no CDL required.

Nice truck Joe. Been considering an HDT for some time now. Just can't get over the fact that it can be used as the grocery getter too.......but thats me!!

Have fun guy!

It is only 4' longer than the 1-ton, just as wide, 7' higher, and I got 11 mpg driving it from NM to MO. Haven't towed the Monty, yet.

Nice rig Joe! Just right to tow your unit up to Nebraska for the MOC Central Plains Regional Rally, July 24th -29th this year. Hey, we have fishing up here too!
This has been a plug for the CPRR and that's the truth!

He just has to make sure he doesn't use it for grocery hauls in Goodyear, AZ! (unless he puts the plate on the rear, ...then he'd probably get a ticket for no plate on the front from officer A-hole of the Goodyear PD anyway! Lol)

Nice! Don't forget to polish the wheels and add a few chicken lights.
