Another thing about 4x4s, you can drop it into 4 Low and idle into just about any spot with out the engine reving and xmission slipping. Gives a real nice slow backing rate.
AWESOME tip!

I'm one of the few who went from a dually to a SRW, and here's why.
To legally tow a Montana where I live, you need at least a 1 ton.
I'm GM loyal and to tow an '09 3400RL I needed a dually.
Terry did NOT like driving the crew cab long box dually in towns and I told her if GM ever came out with a SRW 1 ton that could legally tow our Montana I would trade.
In 2011 GM came out with the 1 ton SRW that had a higher GVWR than my '06 GM dually, just 100lbs, but still higher.
I'm under all weight limits with the SRW.
In my opinion, with the greatly upgraded frame, brakes and suspension, and the new factory engine brake, my 2011 SRW tows our Monty better than the older 2006 dually.

Gas or diesel? Diesel of you tow a lot and or far.
4X4? Where I live you can't give away a 2WD truck, and like has been said, very handy for very slow maneuvering, just be aware of axle binding on pavement or concrete.
