Replacing range

We returned from our trip and took the Monty in for assessment for repairs, one of which is the door to our range. They gave us a quote of $375 to replace the door. I thought this was over the top ! At campers world they have a Maytag range for $395 plus $99 for installation. We thought we could do this ourselves. Has anyone done this before ? Is it difficult ? We have worked with gas lines before but it was building a kiln for pottery. We don't like to pay for something we can do ourselves.

Thank you

Dorothy

Well for $100 if something screws up they are reasonable for it and they do check out the gas fittings

I think you could do it yourself, but for $99, I would prefer to have CW do it. If you do change out, I would liketo purchase your stove top grates; the ones that the pots sit on.

$100 is worth it for me. I would call this a easy change. Remember
to check the fitting with soapy water and you should be good to go. Keep in mind $100 could buy about 30 gallons of diesel. LOL

If you do it and you have a gas problem and you are not a licensed gas fitter your insurance will not cover you.
