What the heck is this?

I really think it might be where slag ran down when the angle iron was welded on the back side. There is nothing like that on the other end of the slide. It is right at the corner under the slide carpet. I was checking for clearance for the laminated wood. Don't know how it didn't tear the slide carpet. Here is a

. Hmmm, I need to learn to put an arrow in there. Maybe you can see it.
